Your new role

As an IT Systems Administrator and Support Officer, you'll play a key role in managing and maintaining both corporate and sensitive network environments across two Canberra sites. This hands-on position involves:

  • Administering and supporting Microsoft 365 services and security settings
  • Ensuring compliance with cybersecurity frameworks (Essential Eight, PSPF, ISM)
  • Providing Level 1 and 2 technical support
  • Overseeing physical and environmental security of sensitive IT infrastructure
  • Managing IT procurement and vendor coordination
  • Supporting system upgrades and maintenance

What you'll need to succeed

To thrive in this role, you'll bring:

  • 2-5 years of experience in IT systems administration and support
  • NV1 security clearance (mandatory)
  • A strong understanding of Microsoft 365 environments, including contemporary tools and security configurations
  • Experience working in Defence, consulting, or professional services environments (highly regarded)
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
