Medical Receptionist

Newton Radiology is an innovative, startup radiology clinic based in Ryde. We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Medical Receptionists to join our dedicated team and support the delivery of high-quality patient care.

About the role

  • We are seeking a medical receptionist who has previously worked in the field of radiology
  • As the first point of contact, you will play a pivotal role in creating a warm and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and referrers
  • You will work alongside radiologists, sonographers, and radiographers to ensure smooth and efficient workflow
  • There is scope for growth into a Practice Management role with future roles including marketing, liaising with referrers and general clinic operations. Remuneration will be reflected accordingly

Key responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and assisting patients in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answering phone calls and managing patient enquiries
  • Booking and scheduling appointments
  • Registering patients and data entry
  • Managing payments and cash handling
  • Supporting clinical staff with administrative needs

  • Future growth and expansion of roles:

  • Marketing

  • General management of practice operations and staffing

About you

The ideal candidate will bring a passion for customer service and strong organisational skills. You will be flexible and able to adapt to patient and administrative needs.

Leadership skills are favourable as we would like someone who can grow into the role of practice manager in tandem with the growth of our clinics.

Essential skills & attributes:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail
  • Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office & Windows)
  • A positive team-player attitude

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in radiology clinic administration and billings
  • Multilingual
