Position Type: Part-Time (5 days per fortnight: Thursdays, Fridays and alternate Wednesdays)

Hours: 8:00am to 3:30pm, 37.5 hours per fortnight

Salary: $1,340.35 to $2,135.95 per fortnight

Contract: 12-month temporary contract (possible extension for the right candidate)

Coolum Beach Community Kindergarten is a much-loved, community-based, not-for-profit Early Childhood Education service affiliated with Gowrie QLD. The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and values-aligned Early Childhood Teacher to join our team in a part-time role as the Nominated Supervisor for our Koala group. You will work closely with our Director, educators, admin support and parent-run management committee to lead a high-quality, inclusive and child-centered program. Your Role Includes

Acting as the Nominated Supervisor and Responsible Person in Charge on rostered days

Leading the delivery of a high-quality educational program guided by the EYLF and NQS

Building warm, trusting and respectful relationships with children, families and the community

Working collaboratively with our passionate team, allied health professionals and external stakeholders

Supporting professional documentation, planning and the QIP process

Participating in parent-teacher meetings, end-of-term preparations and kindy events

Showing initiative and flexibility in supporting the day-to-day operations of the kindy

About You

Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education (ACECQA approved)

Current full registration with the QLD College of Teachers

At least 3 years experience in a community kindergarten or long day care setting

Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certifications

Valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

Child Protection training (Regulation 84A / S162A) and Mandatory Reporting certificates

Deep understanding of child development and a commitment to play-based learning

Strong initiative, time management and communication skills

A calm, nurturing and empathetic approach to behaviour support

A team player who thrives in a collaborative, respectful workplace culture

Willingness to engage in out-of-hours tasks, as needed
