About the Role

We're looking for an Electromechanical / Electrical Engineer to join our growing construction delivery team at Trescon.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, this role supports the coordination and delivery of building services and electrical systems across our projects. You'll work closely with Site Managers, Design Teams, and services subcontractors to ensure all systems are designed, installed, and commissioned safely, efficiently, and in line with project and compliance requirements.

This is a practical, hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys working in dynamic construction environments - balancing design coordination with site-based delivery.

What You'll Do

  • Review electrical and mechanical drawings, identify buildability issues, and support practical solutions
  • Coordinate services integration between electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
  • Liaise with consultants and subcontractors to resolve technical queries and clarify design intent
  • Support testing, commissioning, and verification of systems on site
  • Monitor compliance with the NCC, AS/NZS standards, and Trescon's WHSE and quality systems
  • Assist in planning, sequencing, and delivery of building services to meet program requirements

About You

You're a qualified engineer who combines technical skill with practical judgment. You're comfortable in both office and site environments, confident liaising with trades and consultants, and quick to adapt when conditions change.

Essential

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electromechanical or Electrical Engineering (or recognised equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of NCC Volume 1, AS/NZS 3000, AS 1668, and related standards
  • Experience in building services coordination or construction engineering
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Clear communicator who enjoys working collaboratively across disciplines

Preferred

  • Experience on multi-residential or mixed-use projects
  • Familiarity with Procore, Procure Pro, or BuildPass/1BC
  • Bilingual communication skills and experience in diverse project environments
