Role Description

This is a contract opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst in a hybrid mode on a day rate basis. Based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, this role includes flexibility for remote work and occasional client meeting onsite.

The position involves gathering, analyzing, and documenting business processes and requirements, collaborating with stakeholders to identify and address operational challenges, and presenting actionable insights to support organizational goals.

The Senior Business Analyst will drive AI-enabled change across client's wealth and core banking platforms. The role connects strategic thinking with technical delivery, working closely with product, technology, and operations teams to build new solutions which simplify processes. The Senior Business Analyst will also work closely with senior management to develop and execute strategies and translate them into software.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead comprehensive requirements discovery and design activities for AI-driven and technology projects.
  • Contribute to AI strategy by assessing solution options and supporting rollout across platforms.
  • Conduct data analysis to inform decisions while ensuring data quality, consistency, and governance.
  • End to end project delivery- requirements gathering, testing, UAT sign off, go live
  • Coach junior analysts and help strengthen best-practice frameworks across the organisation.

About you:

  • Experience in the banking industry, preferably Wealth Management
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey complex concepts to various stakeholders
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
  • 5 + years in similar projects as BA
  • Practical experience working with AI/ML tools and performing vendor assessments.
  • Experience in Agile and waterfall projects, working with business and tech
