• Associate Nurse Unit Manager: ANUM Year 1-2 (YW11-12)

On 1st January 2026, five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health; a newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians.

The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1st January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

The Team & Role

As ANUM (Planned Surgery Preparation List) PSPL or ANUM (Patient Support Unit) PSU, together with your team members you are responsible delivering high-quality nursing and administrative care to patients on the Planned Surgery Preparation List. This role requires a deep understanding of the Victorian Planned Surgery Access Policy 2024 and the Victorian Patient Support Unit Guidelines 2024. Your focus is to promote and develop a streamlined patient experience for all patients on the Planned Surgery Preparation List and to support initiatives and activities that enhance the patient's surgical journey from outpatients to discharge.

The ANUM PSPL /PSU supports the PSAM and when required acts in their role to provide effective leadership and management of the Unit/Department. The ANUM works with the PSAM to oversee the delivery of safe, evidence based, person centred care to achieve optimal health outcomes.

Skills and Experience Required

• A Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration, with at least 3 years' experience in an area relevant to the PSPL or PSU
• Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality outcomes for consumers
• Understands the issues and pressures to which the organisation has to respond
• Prepares written documentation using clear, concise and grammatically correct language
• Demonstrated leadership knowledge and skills commensurate with experience
• Wide range of digital experience and skills highly desirable
• Post Graduate Qualification in Nursing highly desirable
