About the role

We are seeking an Inspections Officer to join our team at Rent Choice, a leading residential property management company in Perth, Western Australia. As an Inspections Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the quality and condition of our rental properties. This part-time position offers flexibility and the opportunity to be a part of a dynamic and supportive team.

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct thorough property inspections to ensure properties meet our high standards and tenant obligations are being met
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting the condition of the property and any necessary maintenance or repairs
  • Collaborate with the property management team to coordinate any required remedial work
  • Assist with the preparation of property condition reports at the commencement and conclusion of tenancies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date property records and documentation
  • The role is for 25 hours per week.

What we're looking for

  • Experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and document property condition accurately
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with tenants.
  • Proficient in using property management software and Inspection Express, but training will be provided.
  • Experience with PropertyMe property management software is required
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work autonomously
  • Skilled in troubleshooting maintenance issues with working knowledge of property upkeep
  • Must have an Australian driving licence and own vehicle
  • Australian work rights are essential for this position
