This recruitment pool will run for a period of twelve (12) months and may be used to fill ongoing fixed term contracts and permanent opportunities.

About The Role
Champion the future of information governance, records management and compliance: lead strategic governance initiatives that empower secure, smart, and ethical information management across the Department of Justice.
We are seeking committed and forward-thinking Information Governance professionals to join our team and contribute to engaging and impactful projects.

Rooted in the disciplines of records management and archival science, our work spans a broad spectrum - from developing preservation strategies for historical documents that chronicle the rich history of Western Australia, to exploring and implementing cutting-edge technologies that address the complexities of modern information management.

A key aspect of our work involves fostering collaboration to manage projects, deliver expert advice and training, and develop policies, procedures, and systems informed by both historical context and future trends essential to ensure the implementation of compliant, efficient, and innovative digital solutions to information management challenges.

Ideal Candidates Will Demonstrate

  • Proven experience in an information governance project environment, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet project milestones, and effectively utilise electronic records management systems.
  • Sound knowledge of legislation, policies, and emerging trends impacting records and information management within government or complex organisational settings.
  • A track record of delivering innovative and strategic solutions to complex information governance challenges.

Eligibility
Special conditions –
some positions require travel within Western Australia, a driver's license, and the ability to potentially lift boxes up to 16kg.

Permanent positions
– To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.
