Executive General Manager, Finance and Operations

With a portfolio of circa 50 projects spanning residential, mixed use and major infrastructure projects, Development Victoria delivers state-shaping projects that make a genuine difference to Victorians. It transforms ideas and concepts providing places for the community to live, work, play and thrive.

Development Victoria works with the Public and Private sectors, to deliver on Government policy and create economically and socially strong communities. It has led the redevelopment of iconic places such as the Melbourne Arts Precinct, the State Basketball Centre, and the development of entire precincts such as Docklands and Fitzroy Gasworks. Recent projects include: Riverwalk, the Geelong Arts Centre and Kew. Development Victoria is seeking to appoint the position of Executive General Manager, Finance and Operations.

The Executive General Manager, Finance and Operations, as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board, plays a critical role in embedding disciplined commercial and operational practices across the business to deliver on organisational priorities. Responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across Finance, Commercial, ePMO, Information Technology and Facilities, the role will ensure these enterprise functions are aligned to organisational priorities, deliver high-quality services, drive performance, enable sustainable growth and drive continuous improvement.

To be considered for this role you will be an experienced senior finance executive with a broader focus on operations and have worked in complex and multi-disciplinary environments. Driven by results, you will strive for continuous improvement in service through efficiently leading enterprise functions and managing organisational and operational improvements. You will be able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen, a deep understanding of financial management, corporate governance and risk. Adept at building positive relationships, influencing and negotiating with both internal and external stakeholders, it is expected that you will have tertiary or higher qualifications in Finance or Business and be CA/CPA qualified.
