As part of their continued expansion, they are creating a
GM Finance
role to elevate finance from operational execution to
strategic leadership
— ensuring the business has the insight, governance, and systems to grow
confidently and sustainably
.

This is a
forward-facing leadership position
— not a traditional Financial Controller role. The GM Finance will work closely with the Managing Director and Executive Team to shape business direction, influence investment priorities, and drive long-term growth. With a
clear progression path to CFO

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

• Define and drive the financial strategy in alignment with long-term business goals
• Develop financial plans, investment scenarios, and business cases
• Translate strategic objectives into clear financial priorities

Governance & Risk Management

• Provide executive oversight of financial risk, funding, and compliance
• Manage relationships with banks and key advisors
• Lead audit processes and set insurance/licensing strategies

Finance Function Leadership

• Lead, coach, and mentor the Financial Controller
• Set expectations for reporting, insights, and performance
• Build team capability and succession readiness

Commercial Business Partnering

• Influence pricing, bids, and growth decisions
• Translate operational results into financial impact
• Represent finance at the Executive table

Candidate Profile

We are seeking an accomplished finance leader with extensive experience at the senior executive level (GM Finance, CFO, or equivalent). The ideal candidate will bring strong strategic acumen combined with sharp commercial insight, alongside the proven ability to lead and inspire teams while partnering effectively with executive leadership. This role requires a hands-on leader who is equally comfortable driving operational outcomes as they are shaping strategic direction and adding value at the executive table. Candidates must be highly self-motivated, capable of working autonomously, and able to take ownership of outcomes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience within the Construction, Industrial, or related sectors is essential, ensuring the candidate can navigate the complexities of project-driven environments while contributing to sustainable growth and performance

• Senior finance leadership experience (GM Finance, CFO, or equivalent)
• Strong strategic acumen with commercial insight
• Proven ability to lead teams and partner with executives
• Experience in high-growth, complex environments
