What role will you play?
In this role, your primary mission is to cultivate a culture of responsible AI usage across Macquarie. You will contribute to our AI governance strategy, designing and executing a forward-looking vision for AI risk management that enables our commercial ambitions. You will be an advocate for safe AI, developing and implementing practical frameworks, policies, and tools that are seen as enablers, not obstacles. A critical part of your role will be to empower the organisation at by executing a strategy to democratise AI risk knowledge, designing and delivering a continuous cycle of training and resources. You will be providing pragmatic, solutions-oriented advice that balances risk and commercial opportunity. In addition, you will build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with leaders across our Operating and Central Service Groups, ensuring AI governance is embedded into strategic decision-making.

What You Offer

  • Demonstrable experience in a field related to technology governance, AI strategy, product management, or risk management within a complex, innovative environment
  • A positive, commercial risk mindset, with a proven ability to balance innovation and growth with robust governance
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and build trust with a wide variety of audiences

About the Risk Management Group
Our Risk Management Group works as an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie's material risks. We are a global team that aims to manage the risks of today and anticipate the risks of tomorrow. Our divisions include compliance, credit, financial crime risk, internal audit, market risk, operational risk, aggregate risk and prudential, and central.
