Join our Global Non-Financial Risk team based in Sydney as a Manager where you will join a team at the forefront of enabling innovation, creating an ethical environment that allows Macquarie to harness the potential of AI confidently and safely.
At Macquarie, our advantage is bringing together diverse people and empowering them to shape all kinds of possibilities. We are a global financial services group operating in 31 markets and with 56 years of unbroken profitability. You'll be part of a friendly and supportive team where everyone - no matter what role - contributes ideas and drives outcomes.
What role will you play?
In this role, your primary mission is to cultivate a culture of responsible AI usage across Macquarie. You will be an advocate for safe AI, developing and implementing practical frameworks, policies, and tools that are seen as enablers, not obstacles. A critical part of your role will be to empower the organisation by executing a strategy to democratise AI risk knowledge, designing and delivering a continuous cycle of training and resources. You will be providing pragmatic, solutions-oriented advice that balances risk and commercial opportunity. In addition, you will build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships across our Operating and Central Service Groups, ensuring AI governance is embedded into strategic decision-making.
What You Offer
- Prior experience in a field related to technology governance, AI strategy, product management, or risk management within a complex, innovative environment
- A positive, commercial risk mindset, with a proven ability to balance innovation and growth with robust governance
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and build trust with a wide variety of audiences
- Relevant tertiary qualifications are valued, but we are primarily interested in your experience and impact.
We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us, if you're excited about the role or working at Macquarie we encourage you to apply.
What We Offer

At Macquarie, you're empowered to shape a career that's rewarding in all the ways that matter most to you. Macquarie employees can access a wide range of benefits which, depending on employment type, include:
- 1 wellbeing leave day per year

- Access to a wide range of learning and development opportunities, including reimbursement for professional membership or subscription
- Hybrid and flexible working arrangements, dependent on role
- Reimbursement for work from home equipment
