*The Opportunity* As a Purchasing Officer, you will play a vital role in assisting our Procurement Manager with day-to-day activities associated with the purchasing and supply of ingredients and packaging primarily from existing suppliers and partners.

This position involves a variety of administrative tasks, vendor communications, and documentation management to ensure our purchasing processes run smoothly and efficiently.

The role is Monday to Friday predominately based in Bibra Lake however travel maybe required to our other local sites from time to time.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Procurement Manager with administrative tasks related to purchasing activities.
  • Maintain organised records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications.
  • Serve as a point of contact for vendors regarding order status and inquiries.
  • Help coordinate vendor meetings and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
  • Support the creation and processing of purchase orders based on requisitions from various departments.
  • Track and update the status of purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of procurement documentation, including contracts and agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Enter procurement data into relevant systems and databases.
  • Assist in generating reports for the Procurement Manager, summarising purchasing activities and vendor performance.
  • Help monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory audits as needed.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure they have the necessary supplies.
  • Work closely with the procurement manager to support procurement initiatives and projects.
  • Assist in cross-departmental communications to facilitate procurement processes.

  • Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to support team members and an enthusiastic approach to work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in administrative support, preferably within procurement or supply chain an advantage.
  • Experience with MYOB and TRAILD  preferred but not essential.
