The opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Ventilation Engineer to join there growing team. As the ventilation engineer, you'll ensure safe and efficient underground ventilation by managing airflow, monitoring air quality, and identifying hazards. You'll maintain critical systems that support both safety and performance.

This site-based role is ideal for a technically skilled, hands-on ventilation professional.

What the role entails

  • Inspect and test underground ventilation systems and work areas regularly.
  • Ensure ventilation plans and TARPs are followed.
  • Conduct air quality checks for gases, dust, temperature, and airflow.
  • Develop and update ventilation, egress, and blasting plans.
  • Maintain and adjust Ventsim and Deswik CAD models as needed.
  • Support ventilation planning for shifts and up to three months.
  • Manage ventilation equipment records and calibrate gas monitors.
  • Work with Electrical and Projects teams to keep ventilation and services operational.

What you will need

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and over 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Ventsim and Deswik CAD.
  • Experienced in ventilation surveys, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
