Role Description

This is a full-time office-based role for a Senior Mechanical Engineer located in Brisbane or Gold Coast, QLD. You will be responsible for the design and development of mechanical HVAC systems in Residential, Commerical, Retail, and Government Buildings.

Daily Tasks

  • Attend project meetings.
  • Liaison with clients, architects and external consultants.
  • Liaison with internal staff members.
  • Detail Design of air conditioning and ventilation systems.
  • CAMEL calculations.
  • Implementing in-house procedures and standards.
  • Carrying out QA review of mechanical services documentation by other in-house engineers.
  • Report preparation.
  • Specification preparation.
  • Fee proposal preparation.
  • Marketing to new and existing clients and architects.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in Building HVAC design
  • Deep understanding of NCC and Australian Standards.
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) or working towards.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
