The Opportunity
We are searching for a Civil & Drainage Engineer to deliver discipline specific Civil, Drainage, Flooding and water resources advisory, engineering and management projects, including both modelling, reporting and design (where required and as appropriate) solutions and services.
You will deliver discipline specific drainage, flood risk, water resource engineering and management projects, solutions and services that meet the Company's, clients and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
You will have a major impact on our place in the market and our ability to win and execute top projects, specific to your own skills and that of the wider team in the Rivers and Water Management service area of Royal HaskoningDHV.
You will play a key role in showing and growing our top expertise and will also significantly contribute to account management and our profitability and reputation, developing products and services that help to build business, fortify our position in the market and ensure that we are current.
What you need
- Essential: Civil Engineering Degree (or equivalent)
- Essential: Experience in civil engineering for stormwater drainage, rivers and water management projects. Experienced in a range of software including DRAINS, MUSIC, 12D, Autocad, TUFLOW desirable but not essential.
- Essential: Experience in project management - ability to manage projects independently
- Desirable: Working towards chartered engineering
- Desirable: 5 years experience in civil and drainage design.
- Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills in the field of Drainage, Stormwater Management, River Engineering and Water Management
- Provide direction and advice on technical matters, teach and mentor others in the team
- Ability to independently manage projects and stakeholder relationships including clients and other 3rd parties
- Provide on-site direction of investigations and project deliverables
Travel
Ability to travel for one or two days to Newcastle or other NSW (or interstate) destinations on a regular basis (once every month or two), and potentially internationally (occasionally) for project assignments or meetings, as needed to meet client requirements.
