ABOUT CANNINGTON

Our Cannington operation is one of the world's largest producers of silver and lead. Located in northwest Queensland, Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville.

Flights are direct to the onsite airport, and the mine is only 3.5 km from camp—the perfect distance for a sunset walk or run home along a purpose-built walking track. The onsite accommodation includes meal services, sports/gym facilities, swimming pool, music room, and social area.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have multiple permanent roles available on a 7:7 roster, 12.5hrs Dayshift/Nightshift, FIFO from Townsville/Brisbane/Cairns or DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay shires.

There is a clean-shaven policy at Cannington and smoking is not permitted during work hours.

As the Development/Production Service Crew Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining and installing underground services while contributing to a positive and safety-focused team environment.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

  • Safely operate Integrated Tool Carriers
  • Install, maintain, and repair of underground services, ventilation bag, electrical cables, and submersible pumps.
  • Site set ups, Cable tensioning, face preps.
  • Pre/Post Blast activities
  • Manual labour intensive work

ABOUT YOU

  • Prior experience with Development/Production Service Crew
  • 12 months of underground experience
  • Must have the right to work in Australia
  • A commitment to a positive safety culture

Qualifications for this position are:

  • First Aid/CPR Certificate (or be willing to obtain)
  • Current C class driver licence (Manual)
