About the Role

NQM Gold 2 is currently seeking a skilled and safety-focused Underground Electrician to join our Underground Maintenance team at our Pajingo operations. Reporting to the Underground Electrical Supervisor, this hands-on role is responsible for the maintenance, repairs, and installation of electrical infrastructure in an underground mining environment.

This is a permanent full-time position operating on a 7 days on / 7 days off roster - ideal for those looking to balance a rewarding career with lifestyle flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair underground electrical infrastructure and equipment.

• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and breakdown repairs.

• Ensure all work is compliant with statutory and company standards.

• Fault finding and diagnostics on SCADA, HMI, and PLC systems.

• Support and supervise contractors as required.

• Identify and report hazards, contributing to continuous safety improvements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential:

• Australian recognised Electrical Trade Qualification.

• Minimum 3 years' experience in underground maintenance electrical work.

• Strong understanding of high voltage switching and permitting systems.

• Experience with Sandvik and Epiroc underground drills.

• Proficiency with leaky feeder communications and telemetry systems.

• Solid problem-solving skills and ability to work in a small, dynamic team.

• Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and quality standards.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Highly Regarded:

• Exposure to SAP or other maintenance management systems.

• Previous mining or heavy industrial experience.
