The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager (Welding Equipment, PPE and spares), the Associate Product Marketing Manager (Welding Equipment) will be responsible for managing the implementation of new products and support of these products from conception to launch including: product sourcing, testing (both electrical and application) and compliance, competitive analysis, through to product launches and promotions, support with technical inquiries and pricing strategies.

Your focus will be to deliver increased and sustained value to the business by:

  • Assisting the Senior Brand Manager with managing the Welding Equipment product portfolio.
  • Project Managing the CIGWELD & ESAB portfolio, across machines, torches, wear spares and accessories throughout the Asia Pacific region - including existing products and the development of new products.
  • A focus on electrical compliance testing and verification will be looked upon favorably.
  • Liaising with Global Brand and Product Development teams in Europe, America and Asia.
  • Driving brand growth and loyalty for the CIGWELD & ESAB brands within your portfolio.
  • Facilitating the design and development of product packaging as well as assist in the development of technical literature and product support materials.
  • Providing product support to customer service, sales team, online social media inquiries and the customer network as required.
  • Managing brand compliance in accordance with the relevant standards as well as assisting to source new suppliers and to identify new product development opportunities.
  • Oversee pricing strategies across your portfolio.

The Candidate

  • You are a commercially focused individual who is committed to making a difference and furthering your career.
  • Applicants must have a tertiary qualification in an Engineering and/or Electrical discipline.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound presentation abilities are a must.
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills (Adobe Suite experience will be looked upon favorably) and an understanding of margins and pricing are essential.
  • Team player with the ability to communicate and coordinate with multiple parties.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
