The Role
Reporting to the Production Team Leader, our Process Technicians ensure production quality, perform housekeeping duties, resolve problems, raise maintenance requests and identify opportunities for continuous improvement, while maintaining the highest possible safety environment.
You Will Also Be Responsible For
- You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
- Completing sampling on a daily basis or as required.
- Following plant operational procedures to perform tasks in the plant
- Adherence to outstanding housekeeping standards audits and checks
- Attending and actively participate in all handover and pre-start meetings
- Successfully completing plant competencies in prescribed time.
- Effective monitoring of plant conditions and process stability, reporting any faults to the Team Leader and the troubleshooting of any problems.
What You'll Bring
Ideally you will have experience as a Process Technician and have had exposure to process control in an industrial environment. You will be flexible, conscientious, quality oriented and able to function effectively in a small, self-managed team environment.
We are looking for people who are proactive and results-driven, have a strong focus on safety and quality work and thrive in an environment where you will be required to build strong working relationships with people at all levels. An intermediate Boiler and Turbine ticket is essential for the role, so you'll need to have the Mechanical or educational aptitude to be able to complete this training. You will also be computer literate, with a working knowledge of SAP being advantageous.
Ideally You Will Have Experience With
- Chemical processing plants
- Basic computer literacy in Word and Excel is required
- Skid steer loader and forklift ticket desired
- EWP and Gantry Crane tickets desired.
- Excellent communication
- Strong analytical & Problem-solving skills
- Intermediate Boiler and Turbine Ticket (desired)

The Site
Northern Australian Operations consists of an Ammonium Phosphate Mine and Processing Plant (Phosphate Hill) and Sulphuric Plant (Mt Isa) in North Queensland. The facilities comprise of ammonia, beneficiation, phosphoric acid, granulation and sulphuric acid plants plus infrastructure, utilities, power generation and housing to support the permanent workforce.
