Our Taxation team provides tax advisory and compliance services, assisting individuals and businesses to understand and manage the vagaries of state, federal and international tax.

About the role

We have a full-time position available for an Intermediate Tax Consultant, to commence employment as soon as possible. Working with a brand-new tax team, you will be exposed to high quality work immediately and your 'on the job' development will be rapid as a result.

Duties will include:

  • Preparation and/or review of company income tax returns and other tax returns such as Trusts and Individuals
  • Preparation and/or review of Tax Effect Accounting calculations
  • Preparation and/or review of Fringe Benefits Tax Returns and Business Activity Statements
  • Research and preparation of advice or position papers on a wide range of tax issues

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have at least 1 year of experience preparing company, trust and individual tax returns. Specific experience with preparing Tax Effect Accounting calculations for reporting entities would also be considered favourably
  • Have completed an accounting degree (BCom or BBus), with a dual law degree also considered favourably
  • Be in the process of, or expecting to, complete the CA program or M.Tax in due course
  • Display great communications skills and be able to establish long lasting relationships with clients
