We are partnered with a well-known mining company for the recruitment of a new Occupational Hygiene Advisor.

This is an opportunity to continue your career with a respected player in the mining industry.

The key points:

  • Initial 6 months with extensions
  • 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth to Karratha
  • Paid 12 hours per day

Your role:

  • Approximately 60 percent field engagement and 40 percent office time.
  • Assist in carrying out duties of Mine Air Quality Officer and Noise Officer
  • Atmospheric, Noise, and other hygiene monitoring as required
  • Infield control verifications and area inspections
  • Attend and support risk assessments
  • Procedural document reviews and creation
  • Assist with ventilation plans for Confined Space Entry
  • Attend and present at prestart, toolbox, and leadership meetings

In terms of your background, you will have:

  • Degree qualified or working towards completion of a tertiary qualification in Occupational Hygiene, Health Science, chemistry, engineering or similar with previous experience (3-5+ years) in mining or resources.
  • Technical and practical skills in Occupational Hygiene with demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of exposure reduction strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders in hygiene related initiatives or matters.
  • Knowledge of WA mining health and safety legislation
  • Ability to pass full medical including muscular fit and fitness assessment and pass Drug and Alcohol screening
  • Must be clean shaven for fit test
  • Must hold a current C Class Manual License
