Job Description
Let's talk about the roles and responsibilities
As a Data Visualisation lead, you will transform data into actionable insights through analysis, data modeling, and intuitive report design. Ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Power BI, a strong understanding of data storytelling, and the ability to lead a team in transforming complex data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate business reporting requirements into effective data models and Power BI solutions.
  • Perform data profiling, cleansing, and transformation using Power Query (M) and SQL.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines with Power BI Dataflows.
  • Design and develop user-friendly Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and debug Power BI solutions.
  • Engage with stakeholders for feedback, training, and support.
  • Follow best practices in data management and governance.
  • Maintain a safety-first approach in all tasks.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in SQL and query optimization.
  • Strong experience with Power BI, including Dataflows, Power Query (M), and DAX.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling principles.
  • Knowledge of database design and architecture.
  • Experience in user interface design for reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with GitLab (or similar) and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with Databricks and Azure / AWS for data preparation.
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be Australian Citizens.
