Production Supervisor

Farm Foods is a Geelong based food manufacturing business, specialising in valued added meat products. (eg Sausages, Hamburgers, Meat balls & Kebabs etc) From humble origins back in 2003 the business commenced as a butcher shop in the small country town of Birregurra. Now some 20 years later the business has grown to become one of Australia's leading meat manufacturers of private label products to Australia's major supermarkets.

Please note Farm Foods does not bone or kill anything on site, it is a value add processor of raw materials. We are currently a 24 hour, 5 days a week operation with occasional Saturday work through peak periods.

A Production Supervisor will:

  • Oversee, manage and implement overall day to day production strategies in accordance with internal procedures
  • Schedule and assign personnel
  • Conduct Tool Box Talks
  • Train, educate and manage production personnel
  • Oversee Quality Assurance practises are being followed
  • Maintain a safe workplace
  • Responsible for operational performance and problem solving

We are looking for somebody who will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Systematic approach to business operations
  • Excellent time management
  • 3 years+ supervisory experience
  • Flexibility to work across day and afternoon shifts as required
  • Understanding of HACCP, GMP and OHS requirements

Our shift supervisor will provide supervisory coverage for our afternoon/ night team and will typically operate from 4pm - 12am. Hours will vary occasionally to meet business demands.

We need all candidates to have the ability to undergo a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol screen.
