In this role, you'll lead and deliver multiple business improvement initiatives from start to finish, identifying opportunities, analysing challenges and implementing smart, practical solutions to create lasting value. You'll work autonomously while building trusted relationships across diverse teams, ensuring that improvements are not only effective but also sustainable.
Your work will directly support our strategic priorities by enhancing operational efficiency, embedding a culture of continuous improvement, and helping the organisation mature through innovation. You'll apply best practice methodologies, manage risks, and track benefits realisation, all while coaching others in improvement tools and techniques.
Part-time role
Over the next 12 months, the temporary position holder will focus on delivering a series of service reviews. You'll lead current state analyses, identifying improvement opportunities and developing practical, evidence-based recommendations aligned with Council's Service Review Framework. The role is key to driving efficiency and supporting strategic improvements across Council services.

A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in project management, business analysis, or a related field.

A proven track record of delivering business improvement projects with measurable outcomes.

High-level project management skills, including planning, risk management, and change leadership.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.

A solid understanding of business improvement methodologies and governance frameworks.

Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.

A self-driven attitude and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented culture.

Competitive salary from $111,032 - $129,037 a year (pro-rated for part-time) plus industry-leading 12 per cent superannuation

Permanent Full-time: 35 hours per week

Temporary 12-month Contract: 21 hours per week (with the potential for additional hours)
