The Gig

Ace Hotel Sydney is on the lookout for a dynamic and detail-driven
Rooms Division Director
who is ready to take our guest experience to the next level and set the standard for customer service excellence.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead the way for our Front Office and Housekeeping operations, shaping their strategic direction. You will lead by example, overseeing rostering, training, and mentorship while creating a workplace that is fun, inclusive, and driven by teamwork.

This role is as much about big picture thinking as it is about daily operational finesse. You will manage key vendor relationships from housekeeping and laundry partners to our lobby retail suppliers, ensuring services and products are consistently on point. You will keep our 255 guest rooms and public spaces flawless, our retail offerings irresistible, and our operations smooth from check in to check out.

Your leadership will be at the heart of a bespoke service culture where every guest feels genuinely cared for. You will actively seek out and respond to feedback, turning insights into actions that continually elevate our service. Along the way you will identify opportunities to boost revenue, refine efficiencies, and keep costs in check without compromising quality.

About you

• You're an experienced hospitality leader with a proven track record in managing Front Office and Housekeeping operations in a luxury or five-star environment.
• You thrive on creating exceptional guest experiences, using feedback to make continuous improvements and ensuring every stay is memorable.
• You're confident working with third-party vendors, building strong relationships and maintaining the highest service and quality standards.
• You have strong commercial acumen, able to manage budgets, control costs, monitor labour and drive profitability without compromising service.
• You bring an eye for detail, ensuring rooms, public areas and retail offerings are always immaculate and on-brand.
• You're a people-focused leader who mentors, motivates and develops your team, fostering a fun, high-performance culture.
• You're collaborative, solutions-focused and ready to roll up your sleeves to support the team whenever needed.
