About the Role: METTLER TOLEDO is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Applications Engineer / Product Manager to join our Product Inspection division. This key role supports Field Sales by delivering high-quality technical sales support and solution development, ensuring customer requirements are met efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality technical and administrative support to Field Sales, including solution development, equipment specification, product testing, and compiling test reports.
  • Assist Field Sales with quotes, product configurators, order management, order tracking, and customer drawing approvals.
  • Support production facilities with equipment specification and application queries.
  • Analyze User Requirements Specifications (URS) to deliver sound technical solutions.
  • Facilitate smooth handover to Service teams for equipment commissioning.
  • Conduct customer demonstrations, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and Green Screen Webinars.
  • Plan and execute successful product launches collaborating with production, marketing, service, and business managers.
  • Monitor product positioning, competitive analysis, pricing adjustments, and sales advice on portfolio positioning.
  • Manage systemic quality issues and support recalls or retrofits as necessary.
  • Specialize in product and application knowledge to grow the Vision market.

What We're Looking For:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar or technical role.
  • Advantageous: Experience in Product Inspection (Metal Detection, Checkweighing, X-ray, Vision systems), equipment design/selection, materials handling in Food & Pharma/FMCG, understanding of sales cycle, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Client-focused approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
