The
Project Manager
, reporting to the Director, Portfolio and Program Management Office, is responsible for delivering detailed and sensitive projects within the Chief Operating Officer Group Portfolio. These projects are primarily business, process, and improvement-focused rather than IT implementation initiatives. The role involves developing strategies, business cases and partnering with senior leaders to successfully deliver outcomes within their portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
X Lead and deliver business, process, and improvement projects in line with the Agency's project management framework.
X Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and governance arrangements to ensure outcomes are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
X Prepare and review business cases, project plans, reports, executive briefs, and other corporate documentation.
X Provide clear and timely reporting to stakeholders, including progress updates, risks, issues, and benefits realisation.
X Manage procurement, contracts, and expenditure, ensuring compliance with agency requirements.
X Identify and manage project risks and issues and implement effective treatment strategies.
X Monitor and evaluate project performance, coordinating quality assurance to ensure deliverables meet business needs.

You are an experienced Project Manager with a strong track record of delivering complex business, process, and improvement initiatives. You bring a career's worth of project management expertise, applying structured methodologies to drive outcomes that align with organisational strategy. Skilled at engaging senior stakeholders and business leaders, you excel at building strong relationships, developing business cases, and ensuring project benefits are realised. Your experience spans planning, governance, financial management, and risk oversight, and you are confident working across multiple portfolios in a dynamic environment.
