THE OPPORTUNITY
PYBAR is currently seeking an experienced and driven Shift Supervisor to join our newly expanded Rosebery Project.
The position will be based in Rosebery TAS, working on a 2:2 roster. Multiple points of hire will be considered across Eastern and Southern Australia.
As an Underground Shift Supervisor, you'll be responsible for leading crews to deliver safe and efficient development works. Working closely with site management and technical teams, you'll ensure compliance with operational plans, drive performance, and maintain a strong focus on safety, teamwork and continuous improvement underground.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide day to day supervision and leadership to the underground team
- Monitor and supervise underground mining activities
- Promote positive safety behaviours and help build a culture of accountability, ownership and safety first thinking across the site.
- Use digital tools (e.g. INX) to record and monitor tasks
- Communicate effectively with PYBAR team members and relevant stakeholders
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Shift Supervisor or similar position (Essential)
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in Underground Hardrock mining (Essential)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership capabilities.
- Current First Aid Certificate (Advantageous)
