What's the role

The Prelude FLNG facility is stationed northeast of Broome, Western Australia, in Australian Commonwealth waters. The Prelude FLNG operation comprises sub-sea wells tied back to an FLNG facility encompassing gas processing and liquefaction through to LNG/LPG/Condensate storage and offloading, along with the requisite supporting marine and utilities facilities.

The Access Technician undertakes operation of all mechanical materials movement equipment through the facility and supports maintenance execution safely and efficiently.

What you'll be doing

The role is accountable for:

  • Supporting the Access Lead Technician in delivery of the maintenance schedule
  • Safe operation of all Pedestal/Gantry cranes
  • Execution of all lifting and hoisting equipment maintenance, i.e. Cranes, Forklift etc.
  • Assigning tasks and giving directions to the deck crew
  • Coaching and mentoring of development team members
  • Management of supply boat offload/backload
  • Safe operation of Mechanical Handling devices
  • Fulfill emergency response role

Work Schedule

Offshore based rotational 3/4/3/5 roster

What you bring

Key Qualifications

  • Advanced Rigging (RA High Risk Work License).
  • Crane Operator (CT Tower Crane High Risk Work License) - Preferred.
  • Scaffold Advanced (SA High Risk Work License) - Preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • Strong general Rigging technical experience at skill level including Dogging Offshore Cranes.
  • Strong understanding and experience in offshore Crane Operations.
  • Understanding of CMMS/SAP process.
  • Ability to work flexibly and autonomously within a multi-disciplinary team.
