About the role

This part-time Oral Health Therapist role at Withers Dental in Toowoomba, QLD is an exciting opportunity for a passionate dental professional to join our growing team. Our motivated and enthusiastic team is seeking an Oral Health Therapist for a 12-month contract (four days per week with potential to lead to a permanent role for the right candidate). As an Oral Health Therapist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality dental care and education to our patients, contributing to the overall health and wellbeing of the local community.

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct routine dental examinations, cleans and assessments
  • Perform a range of dental treatments and procedures, including preventative treatments, fillings, scaling, and root planning
  • Develop and implement personalised oral hygiene and preventative care plans for patients
  • Provide patient education on proper oral hygiene and disease prevention
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure the delivery of comprehensive, patient-centred care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
  • Adhere to all relevant dental industry regulations and practice guidelines

What we're looking for

  • Registered Oral Health Therapist with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Oral Health Therapy. Adult scope would be highly desirable.
  • New graduates are welcome
  • Excellent clinical skills and a strong understanding of dental procedures and patient care
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with patients
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a tight-knit dental team
  • Proficient in the use of dental software and technology
