About the role

Join our well-established workshop team in Townsville and take on a role that offers:

  • Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on a wide range of trucks, trailer and machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair a variety of heavy diesel engines and equipment.
  • Dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassemble heavy diesel engines and components.
  • Liaise with clients to understand issues and provide recommended solutions.
  • Easy mobile app to record work hours and job notes.
  • Contribute to a safe and efficient workshop environment.
  • On-site breakdown service and on-call opportunities.
  • Typical hours: 7:30 am - 5 pm, Monday to Thursday, Friday 7:30 am - 2:30pm, with overtime available.

What we're looking for

  • Formal qualifications in Heavy Diesel Mechanics or a related Automotive Trade
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Good attitude and take pride in your work
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to high quality standards
  • Proven experience with a variety of heavy diesel engines and equipment
  • Efficient communication skills to liaise with clients and team members
  • Manual drivers licence (Essential), Truck licence (desirable)
