This is your opportunity to join the growing Deloitte Bendigo office as a client facing funding assessment officer for a Federal Government project. As part of the assessment team, you will be responsible for reviewing and assessing applications for a Government Program, ensuring that decisions are consistent, transparent, and aligned with program guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess funding applications in line with program policies, procedures, and eligibility criteria.
Ensure assessments are conducted consistently and fairly, applying professional judgement while following established assessment frameworks.
Allocate cases and manage assessment workflows to meet service standards and timeframes.
Prepare clear and accurate documentation of assessment outcomes for record-keeping and reporting.
Communicate outcomes and provide clarification or follow-up information to internal colleagues and, where appropriate, external stakeholders.
Identify potential risks, anomalies, or issues within applications and escalate them for further review when necessary.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of assessment processes, tools, and guidance materials.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain outcomes clearly and respectfully.

Technical capabilities
Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
Good technology end user skills

You will have excellent communication and customer service skills (written and verbal) with active listening skills. You will be self-motivated with a high level of attention to detail, ability to understand client requirements and to develop relevant solutions.
