About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our Melbourne team in a full-time basis.

What makes this opportunity exciting is the variety, you won't be stuck managing repeat projects. You'll work across industries and project types, including commercial construction, infrastructure, industrial facilities, and aged care. Each project brings new technical challenges and learning opportunities.

You'll be trusted to lead complex electrical projects with confidence, backed by our PMO and assurance team to ensure structure, support, and delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver electrical projects end-to-end, meeting quality, budget, and timeline goals.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to define scope, objectives, and success measures.
• Oversee technical aspects including switchboard design, cable routing, equipment selection, and system integration.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and risk registers.
• Manage and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, and installation teams.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover activities including O&M documentation and as-builts.
• Provide clear communication and proactive updates to stakeholders.
• Support clients in shaping and refining their electrical delivery approaches.

About You

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management across clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and client relationships in construction or infrastructure settings.
• Deep technical understanding of electrical systems, distribution networks, and installation practices.
• Skilled in project planning, execution, procurement, and risk management.
• Proficient in project tools such as , JIRA, Confluence, or MS Project.
• Analytical thinker with strong organisational and decision-making skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Electrical trade qualification or A-Grade Electrician's Licence (highly desirable).
• 3–7+ years of electrical project management experience.
• Experience leading electrical packages across commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (PRINCE2, Agile, Waterfall).
• Understanding of electrical compliance requirements and safety management systems.
• Experience with electrical distribution systems, switchboards, or metering systems is highly desirable
