About the role

As a Sales Representative/BDM at Good Food Distributors', you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and growing our customer base across the Hunter Central Coast regions. This full-time position will involve engaging with new and existing customers, identifying opportunities, and delivering high-quality sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and business success.

What you'll be doing

  • Prospecting and identifying new business opportunities within your designated territory.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers through excellent communication and service.
  • Presenting our product range and negotiating sales contracts to secure new business.
  • Providing post-sales support to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Collaborating with the broader sales team to share best practices and contribute to the overall sales strategy.
  • Reporting on sales activities, pipeline, and performance metrics.

What we're looking for

  • Meat, Coffee & Wine knowledge and advantage.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of food sales experience is essential as an existing sale person (Chefs looking for a change also an advantage)
  • Proven track record in a sales or business development role, preferably within the food or distribution industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • A proactive, adaptable, and customer-focused mindset.
  • Existing customer base in Newcastle/Hunter area is preferred but not essential.
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required.
