The Opportunity

Join HealthShare NSW as a Truck Driver and play a key role in supporting hospital operations. You'll be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of clean and soiled linen across hospital sites and external departments, ensuring all services meet agreed standards. This role involves operating and maintaining hospital trucks in line with safety, compliance and Chain of Responsibility requirements, while applying safe loading and manual handling practices.

To succeed, you'll need a current HR driver's licence, proven truck driving experience, and good communication skills. If you're safety-focused, customer service driven and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team, we'd love to hear from you.

This position is Monday to Friday with 5am starting time and finishing at 1:30pm.

Eligibility Requirements

• Meet essential requirements as outlined in the Position Description
• Candidates must have Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, or valid work visa). Permanent roles are open to Australian citizens and permanent residents, while temporary and casual roles welcome applicants with a visa
• This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and Tuberculosis (TB) screening. Refer to NSW Health OASV Policy (Page 12) for a complete list of required vaccines. During application, please upload OASV Undertaking/Declaration Form and TB Assessment Tool with any vaccination evidence you have
• If you are identified as a preferred candidate and are external to HealthShare NSW, you will be required to complete a physical pre-employment health assessment (at no cost to you) to confirm your ability to safely perform the duties of the role. Employment is subject to successful completion of all pre-employment checks
• For heavy vehicle drivers (drivers of vehicles with a gross vehicle mass over 4.5tonnes), you must comply with HealthShare NSW guidelines under the Heavy Vehicle National Law.  These include regular licence checking, random drug & alcohol testing and adhering to all applicable laws and standards including taking all mandatory and necessary rest breaks
• Requirement is to provide a driver history report from Service NSW with your application
