About the role
Reporting to the Transport Manager, Truck Driver role will be responsible for picking up and dropping off items, loading and unloading items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.
This role is based in Sydney Markets in Homebush with onsite parking available.
This role is on the stand at the markets, shift is Monday to Friday 1:00am to 9:00am.
Main tasks/responsibilities

- Loading, transporting, and delivering items to customers and/or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
- Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
- Ensure items are complete and packed correctly.
- Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles
- Perform frequent unloading, lifting and carrying of goods.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from customers.
- Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
- Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries
- Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security.
Essential Criteria
- Valid MR & HR licenses
- Valid Forklift license
- Proven working experience as a truck driver
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Industry experience in food service/hospitality is highly regarded
