Plant Operator – Transport for NSW (TfNSW) Location: Narrandera, NSW 

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: 3 Months 

Pay Rate: $45.69 per hour 

Hours: 8.5 hours/day, 76 hours per fortnight

Work Schedule: 9-day fortnight

About the Role:

Transport for NSW is seeking an experienced and versatile Plant Operator to join a construction crew working across the South West region. Based out of Narrandera, this is a great opportunity to contribute to essential infrastructure works in a hands-on role.

You'll be operating a range of machinery and also expected to perform general labouring duties as part of the team. Please note that this role requires frequent camping away from the depot (up to 90% of the time) — travel and living away from home allowances will be paid accordingly under the ORD award.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate plant equipment including:
  • Loaders
  • Multi, Padfoot & Smooth Drum Rollers
  • Mixer
  • Grader
  • Trucks (as required)
  • Perform general labouring as part of a construction crew
  • Maintain plant and equipment in safe working condition
  • Work and travel across the South West region (Wagga, Jerilderie, etc.)

Requirements:

  • White Card
  • WOF (Workers on Foot)
  • MR Class Driver's Licence or above
  • Traffic Control (TC) Ticket (or willingness to obtain within 2 months of start date)
  • Current Police Check (mandatory)

Allowances & Travel:

  • Majority of the role involves camping away from the home depot
  • ORD rates and living away from home allowances will be paid
  • Accommodation is provided while working away from home
