Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Business Analyst based in Perth, WA, with flexibility for partial work-from-home. The role is focused on evaluating acquisition targets and supporting investment decisions through rigorous business analysis.

The Business Analyst will assess prospective businesses by analysing financial performance, operational processes, systems, and risk factors, and by identifying value-creation and improvement opportunities post-acquisition. Responsibilities include engaging with owners and management teams to gather and validate information, conducting process and performance reviews, preparing structured evaluation reports, and translating findings into clear, decision-ready insights. The role also supports integration and improvement planning following acquisition, ensuring analysis directly informs investment outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and commercial assessment skills, with the ability to evaluate business performance, risks, and value-creation opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the capability to engage effectively with business owners, executives, and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated expertise in business process analysis and operational optimisation.
  • Proven ability to gather, validate, and synthesise complex business, operational, and financial information into clear, decision-ready insights.
  • Strong problem-solving capability and comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
  • Experience using business analysis, financial analysis, or due-diligence tools and methodologies is highly regarded.
  • Tertiary qualification in business, finance, economics, management, information systems, or a related discipline; equivalent commercial experience will also be considered.
