Location: Sydney / Melbourne (preferred) or 100% remote

you'll build and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines across cloud environments—ensuring end-to-end automation, observability, and integrity of data workflows.

Key Responsibilities


• Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end data orchestration pipelines, leveraging tools like Apache Airflow, GCP Composer, Argo, or similar.


• Work across data engineering domains (ETL, transformation, ingestion, modeling) within cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).


• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar for repeatable pipeline deployments.


• Integrate orchestration workflows into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.


• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize workflow execution across environments; implement retries, alerts, and observability.


• Collaborate cross-functionally (data engineers, scientists, DevOps, stakeholders) to align orchestration with business needs.


• Deliver pipeline resilience, reliability, and maintainable documentation.

Required Skills & Technologies


• Proficiency with orchestration tools: Airflow, Composer, or AWS Step Functions.


• Solid experience in data engineering tools: ETL, data flow frameworks (Dataflow), and messaging (Pub/Sub) .


• Deep understanding of cloud data services: GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub), AWS data lakes, Azure data platforms
