We have the perfect opportunity for an experienced full time Chief Engineer to join our amazing team.

Reporting to the Hotel Operations Manager, you'll be armed with smart solutions and a can-do attitude ready to uphold the Novotel brand standards, meet targets and exceed guest needs.

Job Description

ALL about the role:

As Chief Engineer, you'll be at the heart of our hotel operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and excellence across the property. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and mentoring a skilled Engineering & Maintenance team
  • Driving preventative maintenance programs and championing sustainability initiatives
  • Managing budgets, CAPEX projects, contractors, and compliance requirements
  • Ensuring all plant, assets, and systems operate to the highest standard
  • Partnering with hotel leadership to deliver projects that enhance guest experience and protect owner investment
  • Acting as a key member of our WHS and Emergency Response teams
  • Representing Accor as an ambassador, ensuring service, safety and brand standards are consistently met

Qualifications

ALL about you:

  • Trade qualification in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering field
  • Proven leadership in a large, complex environment (hotel experience highly regarded)
  • Hands-on expertise with preventative maintenance and project management
  • Confident & articulate communication, relationship & networking skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with drive, ambition & high level of energy
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to manage budgets and CAPEX
  • A true people leader with the ability to mentor, inspire and engage the team
  • Passion for hospitality, safety, and sustainability
