Position Overview

We are looking for a secretary at our accountancy firm located in Avalon Beach.

Starting at 4 days a week, with the potential to move to 5 days.

As a member of our Office Staff, you will play a role in the daily operations of our business. Your responsibilities will range from managing communication to ensuring the smooth functioning of our office.

We are searching for a person who is eager to learn and grow within our company. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational and interpersonal skills, as well as a willingness to contribute to the overall success of our team.

Key Responsibilities

· Typing and preparing letters and documents

· Answer and direct phone calls in a professional and courteous manner

· Manage incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence

· Maintain and update office files, records, and databases

· Managing with appointments

· Prepare and edit documents and reports

· Preparing documents for clients and attending to ATO notifications

· Support various staff with administrative tasks as needed

· Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism

· Contribute to a positive team environment

Qualifications and Skills

· Must be able to type and format letters

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with office equipment

· Previous experience in an office role

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

· Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively

· Demonstrated reliability and punctuality

· Positive attitude, flexibility, and a proactive approach to problem-solving

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

· Professional appearance and demeanour
