We're seeking an experienced Head of Legal to join our dynamic team at our Head Office on the Sunshine Coast. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the legal and compliance framework of a growing national organisation.

About the Role As Head of Legal, you'll provide trusted, in-house legal advice and guidance across all areas of the business. You'll oversee corporate governance, manage external legal partners, and ensure the company maintains compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

You'll work closely with our executive, compliance, and operational teams to mitigate legal risk, protect the company's interests, and contribute to key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide in-house legal advice across a wide range of commercial and corporate matters.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and commercial documentation.
  • Oversee and manage external legal advisors to ensure quality outcomes and cost efficiency.
  • Provide legal guidance on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Represent the company in legal disputes as required.
  • Support the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.
  • Deliver training to internal teams on contract law, employment law, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the national compliance team to ensure ongoing adherence to client and contractor obligations.

About You

  • Admitted to practice law in Australia.
  • Extensive post-admission experience, ideally with in-house exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law, contract law, and governance.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and drafting skills.
  • High level of commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
