We are seeking an experienced
Contracts Administrator
with experience Estimating Concrete, Reinforcement & Formwork. You will have the opportunity to work on some of the biggest construction projects currently taking place in Sydney.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position which will see you work on one of our live projects.
The
Contracts Administrator/Estimator
will work closely with BKH Concrete Division Management to maintain current projects and assist with upcoming bids.
The
Contracts Administrator/Estimator
will be responsible for:
- Putting together progress claims and submitting to the builder
- Reviewing IFC contract documentation against Tender documentation and identifying any potential differences.
- Measuring of drawings and compiling variations with use of contractual Schedule of Rates
- Playing a part of our estimating team to assist with upcoming bids through full measures and use of BOQs
- Reading and interpreting plans, drawings and specifications and ensuring that current information is communicated to the site team.
- Reviewing revised drawings to identify and highlight any changes and communicating these to the site team while understanding the implications of any changes on current activities and systems.
- Ensuring that all site works are carried out in accordance with the current documentation, and the contract Scope of Works.
- Monitoring progress and reporting against programmes.
- Documenting site progress by taking daily photographs for site records, completing daily diaries, QA records, progress measures and to incorporate in the monthly reports.
- Other duties as directed by the Project Manager/Site Manager for future responsibilities.
- Promoting and developing a strong safety culture.
- Willingness to work Saturdays.
Skills and Experience
- Background in Concrete Supply, Pump & Place + Reinforcement
- Previously worked for a minimum of 5 years as a Contracts Administrator & Estimator
- RMS and B80 experience will be a distinct advantage.
- Experience with Builders/Principal Contractors in NSW.
- Experience working with MS Office, MS Excel, MS Project, and Aconex.
- Initiative and a strong ability to work autonomously, independently and with minimal supervision.
- Be self-driven with the goal to progress your career.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise with clients and in house teams.
- Provide support to Site Management and other team members.
- Must have a 'can do' attitude.
- Ability to work to tight schedules and deadlines.
- Unrestricted right to work in Australia.
- Sound technical ability and able to read and interpret plans, drawings & specifications and can communicate the information to the site team.
- Able to work within a team and learn and develop effective communication skills.
