We provide fiduciary services to a diverse client base, including:

• International investors in significant Australian property transactions.

• Fund and asset managers both locally and internationally.

• Registered schemes with large numbers of individual unitholders.

• Wholesale schemes, including private equity, traded investments, and property trusts.

• Smaller bespoke matters requiring tailored solutions.

Role Overview:

The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising fund operations, client servicing and internal processes. This position is responsible for managing more complex fund structures, driving operational excellence, mentoring team members and contributing to business strategy and growth initiatives.

You'll be expected to lead operational delivery across key fiduciary service lines, ensuring compliance, efficiency and quality outcomes for clients. The role combines strong project management, analytical ability, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills. 

Key Responsibilities:

Client & Fund Operations

• Oversee the establishment, launch and ongoing management of complex fund structures (registered, wholesale, and bespoke vehicles).

• Lead operational due diligence, onboarding and lifecycle management of funds, ensuring all documentation, regulatory and risk requirements are met.

• Review and advise on financial statements, tax reports and investor communications.

• Understand and manage fund risk.

• Manage escalations and complex client matters, including ASX-listed entities, distressed assets and corporate transactions (e.g., refinances, restructures, mergers).

• Ensure compliance with ASIC, AFSL and AML/CTF frameworks.

People Leadership & Development

• Supervise and mentor Operations Analysts and Senior Analysts, providing coaching, development and performance feedback aligned with Evolution's competency framework.

• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

• Drive professional growth by supporting technical learning, CA/CPA development and cross-functional exposure.

Process, Risk & Technology

• Identify, implement and enhance process efficiencies across fund operations, leveraging systems such as Zoho, SharePoint and Evolution Connect Portal.

• Maintain strong governance and risk management practices, aligning with the organisation's risk appetite and compliance standards.

• Lead operational initiatives to improve scalability, data quality and automation across business lines.

• Partner with internal teams (Legal, Compliance, Custody, Risk) to ensure seamless delivery and consistent process improvement.

Client Relationship & Business Growth

• Develop and manage strong client relationships at a managerial level, ensuring exceptional service delivery.

• Participate in client meetings, board sessions and presentations, representing Evolution professionally.

• Support business development through proposal preparation, thought leadership and identification of new opportunities.

• Collaborate on new product development and operational readiness for emerging service lines.

Qualifications & Experience

• 4–10 years of experience in professional services environments (such as: insolvency, tax, law, transactions or audit) or a related financial services environment.

• Proven leadership or supervisory experience in managing operational teams.

• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.

• CA/CPA qualification (or working toward) preferred.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
