The Opportunity

We're looking for a skilled Operator to join our team at our West Melbourne transfer station.

This is a nightshift Position - Working Sunday - Thursday and every second Friday

This hands-on role is ideal for someone experienced with front end loader experience and tickets and is keen to contribute to essential waste operations that support the local environment.

Some of the responsibilities are as below.

  • Operating earthmoving equipment (excavators, bulldozers, forklift)
  • Assist drivers with correct load placement
  • Excavate and load dry waste (metal, wood, general rubbish and other material) to compact and cover waste
  • Safely operate vehicles and equipment in line with procedures
  • Assist with general housekeeping duties
  • Maintain a professional image and always deliver high quality customer service

About You

  • Current Front End Loader ticket and experience at a minimum
  • Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
  • Good mechanical aptitude and committed to safety
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills
  • Wiliness to assist co-workers as required
