Consultant - Account Executive – Tech & Innovation

Thrive is on the lookout for a curious and ambitious Account Executive to join our Melbourne team, supporting some of the world's most exciting brands in tech, innovation, and business. You'll be part of a team that helps companies earn their place in the news, building reputations, sparking conversation, and shaping what's next.

What you'll do:
- Support the delivery of earned-first campaigns across tech, innovation, and B2B clients
- Research, write, and pitch stories that land in top-tier and trade media
- Build and maintain journalist relationships across business, tech, and startup media
- Track coverage, monitor trends, and contribute to creative brainstorms
- Provide seamless project support — from timelines and reporting to client updates
- Learn from senior consultants and gain hands-on exposure to every side of agency life
What you'll bring:
- 1–2 years' experience in PR, communications, or media (agency or in-house)
- A genuine interest in technology, innovation, and how businesses grow and communicate
- Strong writing skills and a nose for a good story
- A proactive attitude — you're organised, enthusiastic, and ready to jump in.
- Curiosity and confidence to build relationships with media and clients.
- A collaborative mindset — you love working with others to make great ideas happen.
