About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to support ongoing and upcoming projects throughout Southeast Queensland. The role requires a skilled tradesperson capable of delivering a high standard of structural and finishing carpentry work. The position is ideal for an experienced carpenter who has worked on diverse construction projects across the region and is confident managing complex on-site tasks from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake all aspects of structural and finishing carpentry on residential and commercial projects.
- Interpret and execute plans, drawings, and technical specifications accurately.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install timber and related materials to precise standards.
- Identify and resolve on-site issues to ensure quality and project efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with the National Construction Code and WHS requirements.
- Provide guidance and practical training to apprentices and less experienced team members.
- Coordinate effectively with site supervisors, subcontractors, and project teams.
Skills and Experience Required:
Must have Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification.
Must have QBCC Builder Open Site Supervisor licence.
Minimum 4+ years of relevant post-qualification experience in residential, commercial, and other medium-to-large-scale building projects.
Demonstrated ability to perform complex carpentry work with minimal supervision.
Sound understanding of Australian building codes, construction methods, and workplace safety requirements.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to quality workmanship.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on varied project types and construction environments.
Ability to mentor or support apprentices and junior team members is desirable.
A Diploma of Building & Construction or other construction trade qualification will be regarded as an advantage but is not mandatory.
