About the Role

The Project Systems Officer will work with the Contracts and Projects Coordinator, assisting management to deliver on strategic and operational business improvements. Focusing on delivering efficiencies and improved work process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertake project administration, review and auditing tasks within Councils software systems to ensure data accuracy, compliance and efficient project tracking.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of capital works and scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Actively liaise and consult with relevant staff members to ensure effective communication is maintained.
  • Assist in the development and preparation of risk management plans to mitigate/minimise risks to Council and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development of procedures, performance reports and user dashboards which enable efficiencies in planning and delivery of projects.
  • Prepare accurate concept and detailed construction program estimates.

About You

The ideal candidate for the Project Systems Officer position will have excellent communication skills both written and orally and poses the ability to work as part of a team. Other attributes include:

  • experience in reviewing, checking and auditing data with a high level of attention to detail.
  • experienced at developing and testing relevant reports.
  • experience in project and budget management, with the ability to analyse, evaluate and synthesise information.
  • project and contract management experience.
