Hays Recruitment is currently recruiting for a procurement officer based in Cairns.

Your new role

As a Procurement Officer, you will manage low to medium value procurement activities. You will provide advice to stakeholders, undertake market analysis, implement standard procurement processes, and support contract negotiations.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver low to medium value procurement projects.
  • Maintain supplier market knowledge
  • Engage with customers and suppliers to support procurement opportunities.
  • Contribute to contract implementation and performance monitoring.
  • Completing RFQ's, RFI's

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in procurement and delivering value-driven initiatives.
  • Strong supplier engagement skills, including resolving minor contract issues.
  • Knowledge of contemporary procurement and category management practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong stakeholder relationships.
